Taking a Break

This website is the perfect place for anyone wanting to be a total DIY-ista! lol The page is hosted by Allyce and Melissa, two stylish girls who think style shouldn't have to cost a fortune! The site is still developing, but when it is all up, they will have a forum where you can chat all things DIY, sewing tips, a Vodcast, Featured Products, and a style gallery!

So we logged on to our email this morning and our mailbox was full of submissions to the model search that had come in after midnight....and due to our rules of the model search, they could not be accepted! SO........at the risk of loosing some awesome girls, we have decided to EXTEND THE SEARCH!!!!! BUT...........only until the 15th!!!! That's just a little more time to get those entries in! So hurry up! lol

The Kitten Walk...

All of our models are required to work outdoors for all photos
and must be able to work when needed. (no high key please)

This year the entries will go through two rounds. This is the first
round in which modeling and photography ability are judged.
In the second round, you will be asked to answer a questionnaire so we
can get to know you and your model better!

ell, not technically until Tuesday, but we did have a party for miss Lay yesterday to celebrate her 6Th birthday!

She decided to have a Bratz fashionista Party (very appropriate! lol)
So I thought we would share some photos from the day with our friends, pin the sunglasses on the brat (hand drawn by her "Didi"), jumping in the moonwalk, bracelet making, and the best cake EVER!

Fact #2: Nikki knows the words to EVERY Andrew Lloyd Webber musical to ever hit Broadway! (Phantom of the Opera and Cats are her FAVES!) AND, she can sing them in good Opera stance! hehe

Fact #3: Terry can play the piano by ear, but can't read notes at all!

Fact #4: Nikki LOVES dill pickle chips! Any brand will do! They are the best with fresh cracked black pepper on them! YUM!

Fact #6: Nikki has funny nicknames for people. I call my daughter "Punk", I call all girls "chicks" and all guys "dudes".....yes, Im secretly 12! LOL SHHHHH...dont tell anyone! :)

Fact #7: Terry loves anything that is peanut butter...peanut butter chips, cookies, on toast with bananas, pancakes, on a spoon....lol you name it, she will eat it if its peanut butter!

We LOOOOOOOVE Fall!!!! Mainly for the BEAUTIFUL handbag selection!

Anyone who knows us, knows we L-O-V-E bags! Especially me (Nikki). I have been obsessing over some of the new Fall lines for bags, and I just think I might have to splurge and treat myself to one of these delectably scrumptious arm candies!

First up is my new LOVE....The Distressed Patent Shoulder bag from Versace.

This bag is totally classic, and can make any girl feel like a princess!

Next is the Miss Silky Leopard-Print Cavallino Satchel by Dolce & Gabbana (one of my FAVE designers).

Isn't it so beautiful and lush?!

And last, but certainly not least...the Quilted Manor Bag from Burberry. Their style is so unique, and just screams classy. I don't carry my Burberry much because its rather small, maybe its time for an upgrade?

Time passes

Life happens.

Distance separates.

Children grow up.

Jobs come and go.

Love waxes and wanes.

Men don't do what they're supposed to do

Hearts break.

Friends & relatives go to Heaven.

Colleagues forget favors.

Careers end.BUT...

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you.

A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.

When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself,

the women in your life will be on the valley's rim,

cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf,

and waiting with open arms at the valley's end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...

Or come in and carry you out.

Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life!

The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I.

When we began this adventure called womanhood,

we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead.

Nor did we know how much we would need each other.

Every day, we need each other still.

Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful. I just did.

The World of First's!!

Well today was full of firsts. Lagan started Kindergarten, and got her FIRST HAIRCUT!! I cant believe it! Shes growing up way too fast!

So here are some pictures from our first day of school, and our First hair cut!!
